Education & Experience
I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from the University of Chicago and am currently working on Post-Bac study in music at Oakland University.
I am proficient in teaching music in a virtual setting, I have the ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels in all genres of music.
I am able to play effectively in all genres of music on the piano, including Baroque, Romantic, Classical, 20th Century, modern, and jazz. I pride myself on my superior collaborative skills and proficiency in sight-reading.
Teaching
I have been teaching piano for over 13 years. My students have ranged in age from 4 years old to 99, and we have worked together on all genres and styles of music. I welcome students of all skill levels, and I have had some great experiences working with students with developmental disabilities.
Accompaniment
I have experience providing piano accompaniment in school choirs at the middle school and college level, church worship services, and special events such as weddings, funerals, and the yearly Solo & Ensemble Festival. I am proficient in sight-reading and in playing all genres of music-- if you are in need of an accompanist for an event, or if you would like recordings of piano accompaniment, I would love to work together.

2019 to Present- Accompanist
Provide music and choir accompaniment at rehearsals, Sunday worship services, and special services. Lead worship services during Music Director’s absence.
L’Anse Creuse Public Schools
2007-2020- Accompanist
Accompanied middle school choirs during vocal warm-ups, rehearsals, and during yearly performances. Assisted choir teachers by leading class in their absence and working with students one-on-one. Worked with students over Zoom during school shutdowns, including preparing recordings of piano accompaniment or voice parts as needed.
Freelance
2007 to Present- Pianist
Worked with approximately 20 voice and instrumental students per year to prepare for yearly Solo & Ensemble event and accompanied them on piano during their performances. Provided music for special events such as weddings and funerals
One-A-Chord Music
2007-2020- Piano Instructor
Taught students of all ages and skill levels to develop their piano skills. Taught all genres of music and assisted students with songwriting projects.
